Hoppy Halloween!!!

Friday, October 29th, 2010

Things that go bump in the night are about to get a little spookier than usual this weekend, bunny wabbutts. Thas right, Ms. Cottontail herself is back from Canada and is chomping at the bit to spin those tunes for all us NYC lop ears once again. And so she will tomorrow night at Santos alongside Prince Peter, Silver Medallion, Gabe Saporta & Taryn Manning while Eddie the Gun performs live. Look out for live painting and a whole mess of insane, fear-inducing costumes. Claro cray-zee. Then Monday, the day of all of the saints, we’ve got all of the Rice and Peas back for you at Sway. This time around we’ll be celebrating DJ Maya and Dainjamental’s birthdays. We already know you’re involved, now stay that way and don’t over do it on the candy this weekend, we need you in dancing shape! See you at the cluuuuuuub and Hop Hop Hoppy Halloweeeeen, rabbitos!

Friday’s Way

Thursday, October 28th, 2010
So the moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. Everyone’s favorite party boy Lil’ Friday finally released his fun filled mixtape Everyday is Friday!!! I must admit it’s everything I hoped it would be (and a little more). Good fun music that makes u just wanna dance. The collabos with producers like Ian Jay & Melo-X only serve to further compliment the eclectic booty bass bonanza. I’m personally diggin’ the track “Jungle Pussy” right now which definitely lives up to its name. And after seeing him perform “Friday’s Way” last nite at the mixtape release party that one is pretty high up on my list too. If you’ve ever seen “Friday” (or Freddy as I know him) in a club or at a party once you take a listen you’ll see how his music personifies the very essence of what he is. Anyhoot enough rambling from me just go download & hear for yourself!!

Thats Not It!

Monday, October 18th, 2010
My favorite female DJ next to Mama Cottontail is Miss Jasmine Solano and she has a video for her flirty song “Thats Not It” shot by the incredible TONE and directed by the legendary Va$htie. Peep the video by clicking on the pic and you might even see a few familiar faces ;)

Extraterrestial Offspring

Monday, October 18th, 2010
youngest child Willow Smith
has finally released a video for her epic song “Whip My Hair” and I’m nothing short of amazed. I think we’re all so taken aback because at 9 years old with a little studio help her voice is amazing and she’s giving most 20 something (*cough cough* Rihanna) pop singers a run for their money. The video is not only age appropriate but fun, inventive, and pleasing to the eye. Click on the picture below to check the video out
